College was a life changing experience for Phil and Grace, although they didn’t know it at the time, it was the beginning of their journey to becoming husband and wife. Although Phil and Grace became friends twelve years ago at Trinity University, it was a long journey to when they first started dating four years ago. Grace and Phil kept in touch as they went on to establish careers and lives in different cities, Grace went to Chicago and Phil went to Houston.
Looking back on it, there was an undeniable connection that is clear as day in pictures they took together. Soon after Grace moved back to Austin, Phil and Grace slowly became aware their friendship was evolving into something more. Phil was in Austin for a wedding and asked Grace to have a cocktail afterwards. After reconnecting and talking all night, Grace immediately knew this was it, even if it took Phil a few more months.
Together the two of them have attended more than 40 weddings and been a part of more than 15. This knowledge and experience led them to plan and execute the wedding of their dreams, and no one else’s. Phil and Grace value family and friends above all else, and cherish the love and support they receive from their community. The ceremony was performed by their college friend, Matthew Berning, and each wrote their own vows. The celebration was filled with laughter, love and dancing.
