You will want to honeymoon on the Amalfi Coast if you are looking for the perfect place to relax and soak in the Italian culture and be awed by natures bueaty. The divine Amalfi Coast is located in the Campania region in Italy.
To begin your ideal stay, get a top-floor suite with breathtaking views at Le Sirenuse, a romantic and idyllic Hotel in centrally located Positano, or if you wish to take a trip to Pompeii while staying at the Amalfi Coast, stay in the town of Sorrento at the gorgeous Cocumella. It also offers rooms with fantastic views and will provide you with all your luxurious needs.
From Positano you may want to take a boat to Spaggia De Lauriot for a relaxed swim, or simply spend your afternoon shopping, which you will have plenty of opportunities for in this central location. Next on your list it to make sure you grab lunch down by the waterfront in Amalfi for some amazing views and fresh seafood!
For dinner, head to Donna Rosa, a very elegant, fine dining restaurant with authentic Italian food and a very charming ambience.
From Sorrento, it’s easy to take a day-trip to Pompeii, a most historical sight worth exploring. From there a train will take you directly to the stop Pompeii-Scavi, which gets you as near as possible to the old ruins. For dinner, back in Sorrento, make sure to reserve a table at Ristorante Bagni Delfino – it’s located right by the water and offers the most incredible views!
There’s also Ravello, a cute little village, probably best known for its classical music festival Festival Musicale di Ravello. Its charm lies with endless serenity and quietude, away from the big crowds and major tourist attractions. If you happen to be there during the festival, make sure to attend at least one of its concerts, since it’s quite special and unique, but otherwise Ravello has several hiking trails to venture upon and it provides beautiful scenery with excellent picture opportunities. At last, I would recommend a visit to the Villa Cimbrone Gardens, a lovely place to visit with a romantic feel to it (which most places in Italy possess!).
The best option is to find a place that you adore and rent a driver to cruise around. This often the best thing to do in Italy, especially at Amalfi Coast with all its small, winding roads along the coast.
On your way back you most likely will be flying out of Naples. You can do the trip to Pompeii as your travel back if you a lot yourself enough time. There is not much to see in Naples so our suggestion would be, seeing it is only an hour’s drive, to just make a night/afternoon of it before your flight the next morning. While you are there you can visit Castel Nuovo and grab a bite in the marina.
The views, food and ambiance are simply unforgettable. If you choose to honeymoon on the Amalfi Coast take the opportunity to view it’s immense beauty to its full extent. The Amalfi Coast is one of the most magnificent honeymoon spots in the world!
